Privacy Policy

Text you choose to inspect

Text that you enter or paste is processed in app memory only to display grapheme, code-point, encoding, character-property, flag, and normalization results. CodepointDeck does not upload the text, create a profile from it, synchronize it with a server, or retain it as inspection history. Each inspection is limited to 4,096 code points.

Text entry uses Android's system input path. CodepointDeck asks Android to disable personalized input learning for its text field. Android and the active keyboard are separate software and may handle what you type under their own settings and privacy policies.

Clipboard

CodepointDeck does not read the Android clipboard automatically. A selected result is written to the clipboard only after you tap Copy. The app marks that copied text as sensitive through the Android clipboard API. Android and other software on your device control clipboard access after that user-initiated action.

Network, files, accounts, and third parties

• No network access, account, sign-in, cloud sync, or content upload
• No file picker or access to files, photos, camera, location, contacts, microphone, messages, or device identifiers
• No advertising, analytics, tracking, or account SDK
• No inspection history, cookies, telemetry, or cross-app tracking

CodepointDeck does not send the text you inspect to a third-party service. Its packaged text-processing components perform their work on the device. Android and the active keyboard may process text entry as system software outside the app's own data practices.

Technical scope

CodepointDeck reports grapheme clusters, code points, UTF-16 code units, UTF-8 bytes, character properties, and flagged control or formatting values. It also compares NFC, NFD, NFKC, and NFKD. It does not provide a security or threat verdict.

Character properties use Unicode® Character Database 17.0 data. Normalization uses version 17.0 data through unorm_dart 0.3.2. Grapheme segmentation uses version 16.0 rules through characters 1.4.1. These components are versioned separately; CodepointDeck does not claim full conformance to one version of the Unicode Standard.

Children's privacy

CodepointDeck is a general text and developer utility. It does not knowingly collect information from children or from any other users.

Changes to this policy

If CodepointDeck's data practices change, Catnap will update this policy and the Google Play data-safety declaration before releasing the changed behavior.
