Privacy Policy

What ScoreCove stores on your device

ScoreCove stores team names, scoring rules, score events, timer state, up to 24 completed matches, language, theme, and match defaults in private on-device storage. This information is used only to run the scoreboard, undo or redo changes, resume an interrupted match, and show local history. The app has no account system or cloud synchronization service.

Local recovery copy

To recover from an interrupted or corrupted write, ScoreCove keeps a last-known-good app-state copy in private on-device storage. Successful saves update that copy. It is never transmitted. Clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app removes both the primary state and recovery copy.

Results you choose to export

ScoreCove opens Android's system document creation interface (ACTION_CREATE_DOCUMENT) when you choose to export a result. It does not send the result directly to another app:

• Text export writes a plain-text (TXT) match summary.
• Image export writes a portable network graphics (PNG) result card.
• ScoreCove writes only to the destination you select for that operation.
• The app does not request broad storage access, enumerate your document library, store the selected document URI, or request persistent access after export.

If you choose a cloud-backed document provider in Android's picker, that provider may synchronize the exported file under its own terms and privacy policy. ScoreCove does not control that provider or receive a developer copy.

Data collection and network access

• No network access in the release app
• No advertising, analytics, telemetry, crash-reporting, tracking, or account SDK
• No account sign-in, cookies, server storage, or cross-device synchronization
• No access to location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, messages, or device identifiers
• No automatic Android cloud backup or device-transfer backup of ScoreCove's private app data

Retention and deletion

An active match remains on the device until it is completed or explicitly replaced. ScoreCove retains up to 24 completed matches; you can delete each completed match in the app, and older results are removed as newer results exceed that limit. Clearing ScoreCove's app data in Android settings or uninstalling removes all app-private state. Exported documents remain wherever you chose to save them and must be deleted through the relevant document provider or file manager.

Third parties

ScoreCove does not bundle third-party SDKs or developer-selected services that receive personal data or app content. Android's system document creation interface and any document provider you choose operate outside ScoreCove and are governed by their respective privacy practices.

Children's privacy

ScoreCove is a general scoreboard utility and is not designed specifically for children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children or from any other users.

Changes to this policy

If ScoreCove's data practices change, Catnap will update this policy and the Google Play Data safety declaration before releasing the changed behavior. The effective date above identifies the current version.
