StudyK Privacy Policy

StudyK is a Korean-learning app for short phrase listening, speaking practice, saving, and review. This policy explains how the Android app handles information.

Learning Data Stored On Your Device

StudyK stores saved Korean sentences and words, lesson and review progress, bookmarks, reactions, streaks, settings, reminder preferences, and recent in-app activity locally on your device. The current production build does not require an account and does not upload this learning data to a StudyK server.

Microphone And Speech Recognition

StudyK requests microphone access only when you start a speaking activity. Audio may be processed by the speech-recognition service provided by your Android device in order to return recognized text. StudyK uses that text to provide practice feedback and does not save raw microphone recordings. You can deny microphone permission and continue using features that do not require speaking input.

Advertising And Third-Party Processing

StudyK uses Google AdMob to display ads. Google Mobile Ads may automatically collect or share IP addresses (which may be used to estimate general location), user interactions with ads and the app, diagnostic information, and device or account identifiers. Google uses this information for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. Where required, StudyK checks the Google consent state before requesting ads and provides access to advertising privacy choices in the app.

StudyK also uses Google Play services needed for app delivery and operation, and the Android speech-recognition provider selected by your device. Those providers process information under their own privacy policies. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.

Data Sharing And Sale

StudyK does not sell personal information. Information processed by Google AdMob and platform speech recognition is shared with those providers only as described above and as needed to provide those features.

Retention And Your Choices

Local learning data remains on your device until you clear StudyK's app storage or uninstall the app. You can manage microphone permission in Android settings. Advertising privacy choices, when required for your region, can be reopened from StudyK Settings > Privacy & Data.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect information handled by StudyK. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.

Children

StudyK is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18.

Changes

We may update this policy when StudyK's features or data practices change. The effective date above identifies the latest revision.
